This iconic building set back in the forest of Camps Bay was once the setting for lavish hunting parties hosted by the flamboyant Lord Charles Somerset. Dining at The Roundhouse Restaurant is a unique experience accentuated by the age of nostalgia and perpetuated by a clear sense of luxury and extravagence. Guests can enjoy the dramatic views of Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles while sipping from chrystal and eating with silver cutlery. Executive Chef PJ Vadas procures only the freshest seasonal ingredients to create a modern French inspired A la Carte menu. Applying his experience in leading restuarants of the world PJ Vadas has created a unique dining experince in the Cape and expresses his passion for food with new daily creative choices. A fine wine cellor has been maticulously collected with a dual purpose, to complement the menu and expose diners to the best in South African and international wine.Choices made easy by the signature Roundhouse Sommelier. To complete the dining experience our service staff have been trained in the rare art of personalised hospitality.
The Roundhouse offers three individual dining settings. The Somerset Room, positioned along the curved French windows offers majestic views of the Atlantic Ocean and The Twelve Apostles Mountain range. The Oval Room located in the centre of the building accomodates groups of between eight and twenty-two. Lastly, The Tasting Room offers the ultimate private dining room complete with Menu Degas station experience that can enjoyed with a rare collection of whiskey and cigars.
