Ginja, Restaurant Cape Town

Situated in the trendy Bo-Kaap district of Cape Town, Ginja occupies the ground floor of an old two storey building. First impression of the interior is that it has an "old warehouse" feel with its high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. However, the rich red walls and art deco fittings combine very effectively to produce a French Brasserie look which is both intimate and inviting.
Cape Town institution, Ginja, continuously explores the boundaries of culinary delight. From the dramatically understated entrance, to the exposed brick wall and signature black and white tiles, Ginja breaks from the conventional to introduce our guests to a new world of experimenting and experiencing.
In this spirit, Head Chef, Lerrico Messina, and Executive Chef, Chris Erasmus, passionately play with gastronomic dreams and realize them into a tasteful reality, abundant with colour, texture and taste. Using and focusing only on the finest local produce and enhancing these with fresh new ideas of preparation and accompaniments to create an experience sometimes adventurous, but always exquisite. Our only rule is imagination.
We are passionate about food, beverage and the service encompassing it. It is our delight to welcome you into our world, where we showcase our perception of dining. We believe that your experience with us should be intimate, interactive and fun.
