Bentwood Inn offers delightful bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation among the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg - a World Heritage Site. Nestling in the quaint village of Underberg, we offer our guests a tranquil and scenic setting in which to relax and simply do nothing, or to spend quality family time.If you prefer to be more energetic, take a rod and see if you can hook a trout or two in one of the many rivers or dams which dot our area. Then bring your catch home to Bentwood Inn and grill or braai it at your leisure on the facilities provided. We are proud to say that our area offers more fly fishing opportunities than anywhere else in South Africa. There are also a host of other exciting activities and adventures waiting for you.

The Crested Barbet Cottage 1 (1)
The cottage has twin beds, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and basic cooking facilities. There is a TV with DStv Lite and the cottage opens onto a small garden area which is host to many different bird species.

The Giant Kingfisher Cottage 3 (1)
This is a cosy and romantic double room with a kitchenette and bathroom. The unit has a TV with DStv Lite and an outdoor patio where guests can sit and spend time with the birds, which are in abundance in the garden.

The Hoopoe Cottage 4 (1)
The cottage is a four-sleeper with a double bunk bed and a double bed. This unit has a kitchenette and there is a shower in the bathroom. It has a family-sized patio which is a wonderful space to sit and relax.

The Lilac-Breasted Roller Cottage 2 (1)
This cottage is our premier family unit with a lounge, kitchenette, bathroom and main bedroom ensuring family comfort. This four-sleeper unit, that could accommodate five guests easily, has a TV with DStv Lite. There is also an outside patio area which is a wonderful place for sundowners as well as early morning bird viewing. It has a bath, which is appealing to families with smaller children.
