The guest house is owner managed, offering superb hospitality with great attention to detail, focusing on quality, comfort and style.Three luxury cottages with one double bed, two garden suites and one family unit with classic contemporary decor, set in 1,5 hectares of luxuriant gardens with much indigenous flora and an abundance of birdlife.
Spacious guest areas in and around the historic house where one can relax and enjoy a drink in the lounge, on the patios or the veranda overlooking the gardens.
A memorable breakfast is given under the vines in summer and in front of the log fire in winter. Cheese platters and a fine selection of local wines are offered to enjoy in the comfort of your own room in front of a crackling fire or on your private patio

Swellendam naturally links the winelands of Stellenbosch, Worcester, Robertson and Bonnievale with the coast and the famous Garden Route, and the inland desert like area of the Little Karoo with the southern most tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas. Whale watching from many parts of the nearby coast between June and November.
Swellendam is within easy reach of the charming towns of Montagu and Barrydale, via the Tradouws pass, both have hot springs. The Bontebok Park and De Hoop Nature Reserve with its many Eco-systems are a must. Spectacular horse trails and mountain walks in the Marloth Nature Reserve.Request A Quote

Protea Garden Suite (1)
Spacious family suite. Main bedroom with queen-sized bed leading into lounge area with fireplace and tea-making area. Off the main bedroom a second smaller bedroom with two single beds. Honeybush Heritage Suite (1)
The newest addition to our collection. Large suite in the 1802 Historical Monument. Spacious with thick walls, wooden beams and floors, yellowwood shutters and reed ceilings. Spacious bedroom featuring a one of a kind bespoke cupola iron bed. Bathroom has walk-in shower and a free-standing bath. The suite also has a reading room with a single bed for small children. Music station, CDs, fan, filter coffee and tea, electric blankets in winter, fresh flowers and complementary Port complete the picture. Views of the lawns and garden.

Aloe Garden Suite (1)

Characterful, medium-sized bedroom in the 1802 Historical Monument with double bed. Bathroom with shower. Handmade Terra cotta tiled floor with underfloor heating, yellowwood shutters, reed ceiling. Music station, complementary port, fan, electric blanket in winter. No TV. Ideal when booked in conjunction with Honeybush, which is housed in the same building. And of course our complimentary Port.
