Description
Stellenbosch Hotel is a 27-bedroom boutique hotel that also offers several self-catering apartments. Museums, art galleries and curio shops are all within safe walking distance. The hotel was built on land granted by Governor Simon Van der Stel between 1692 and 1701. The building was restored in 1987 and has been declared a national monument.Guest rooms feature extra length king-size, queen-size, double or twin beds with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, bar fridges, TVs, clocks, radios, hairdryers, room safes and telephones. A full English or Continental breakfast is included in the room rates, and a complimentary bottle of mineral water, tea and coffee are provided. Our reception is always open and guest parking is available upon request.
Our famous Jan Cats Restaurant serves fine local and foreign dishes, and our sidewalk tables are ideal for a pub lunch or a visit with friends. We serve crayfish, fresh oysters, a catch of the day and a selection of exotic game dishes. We also have an à la carte menu with a variety of items to choose from and our wine list supports the local vineyards.
