Stay-a-while Backpackers is perfectly situated and easily accessible to all the many attractions that Stellenbosch has to offer. Located on the corner of Vlottenburg Road and Baden Powell Drive, Stay-a-while features simple and rustic accommodation, in an old Cape Dutch-style cottage - ideal for the budget traveller exploring the area.The cottage is set up as a single dormitory, consisting of four bunk beds, which can sleep up to eight guests. The bathroom and shower facilities are shared. The lounge area has comfortable couches to relax in, and a TV connected to DStv channels. Breakfast and dinner are available on request, but if you're keen, you may utilize the fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. Laundry facilities are also provided, as well as daily clean linen. For entertainment, guests can make use of a pool table and darts board, and can end the day off around the outdoor fireplace.
Situated on the R310, the backpackers neighbours Stellenbosch Hills Cellar, Van Ryn Brandy Cellar, and the Vredenheim Wine Estate. The Spier tourist centre is within easy walking distance and Stellenbosch Kloof, with all its wine cellars, many restaurants and other tourist attractions, is also within easy range.
Public transport is right on the doorstep, as the Vlottenburg Railway Station is just across the street, and shuttles in and around Stellenbosch and the airport can be arranged if required.
