Situated in the heart of the Winelands near Stellenbosch, Acara is nestled in a valley called "Happy Vale" amidst scenic vineyards with beautiful views of the Helderberg Mountains. Dave and Fiona offer exceptional hospitality and can offer suggestions on day trips, restaurants and things to do in the region.The three cottages are all beautifully appointed, each with double doors leading onto a private terrace or deck area. They all have beautiful views to the sparkling heated swimming pool, large gardens, paddocks and of course to the mountains beyond. Acara usually offers accommodation on a self-catering basis due to the excellent restaurants in the area, but a hamper breakfast comprising warm croissants and fresh juice can be supplied on request.Request A Quote

Lavender Cottage (1)
Two-bedroom cottage with one queen-size and one twin room, sleeping up to four people. The unit comprises a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, a fridge-freezer and a microwave. There is a modern, tiled bathroom with a shower and heated towel rail. Both the sitting room and the double bedroom have double doors opening onto the terrace. Features include wireless Internet access, air-conditioning, underfloor heating, satellite DStv with PVR and an iPod docking station.

Jacaranda Suite (1)
The Jacaranda Suite features a king-size bed, a bathroom with a shower and a fully equipped kitchenette area with a microwave oven, fridge-freezer and electric hob. Willow Tree Cottage (1)
This luxurious, two-bedroom thatched cottage offers one king-size and one twin room. The main en-suite bathroom has a bath, separate shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. The twin room upstairs has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, a microwave oven and an electric hob. The double volume sitting room has a central open fireplace, DStv with PVR and an iPod docking station. The wrap-around deck is accessed from both the bedroom and the sitting room, and it has beautiful views to your own garden area and to the mountains beyond.
