Description
Lavenders Blue is a romantic, thatched self-catering cottage situated in the Victorian village of Stanford, near Hermanus. There are glorious views of the mountains, and it is a short walk away to the banks of the Klein River and the river meander.The cottage is located close to all village amenities, excellent local restaurants, and antique shops. The spacious double-volume cottage comprises a downstairs bedroom with a queen-size bed and antique furniture, while the bathroom has an authentic Victorian bath and heated towel rails. The outdoor shower area allows for a quick rinse off after a swim in the river. The upstairs loft room has a king-size or twin beds plus an additional single bed, and a bathroom with shower. The bed linen is 100% percale cotton, with woolen duvets, and luxurious bath towels. Swimming towels should be provided. The outside laundry is equipped with a washer and dryer.
An open-plan lounge and dining area is furnished with a mixture of modern and antique furniture, and features a large open fireplace and an additional bar fridge. The well-equipped gourmet kitchen boasts an imported gas cooker, and opens onto a covered patio with a built-in barbecue.
