Boubou B&B offers accommodation 35 minutes’ drive from Sun City. Enjoy family time under the big country sky and around the boma fire, or you may prefer the comfort of the patio or lapa. Enjoy an unbelievable sunset and be entertained by the night call of the jackal, nightjars and owls. The boubou’s call is a constant reminder of the rich bird life of over 350 species, including a number of interesting raptors of the bushveld. Enthusiastic birdwatchers and nature lovers will have close encounters with birds, nyalas, duikers, bushbuck and blesbuck.Boubou B&B offers five rooms including a luxury en-suite double room with a private Jacuzzi, shower and sauna overlooking a beautiful garden setting. It has a king-size bed and is well suited for honeymoon guests. Families have the comfort of other three double rooms and one single room with twin beds, ideal for children and single people.
Outdoor dining forms a main part of our lifestyle and meals are usually served on the patio, at the boma, or on the lapa overlooking a canopy of bushveld trees. The rate includes a full breakfast, freshly baked bread, home-made jams, and fresh fruits from the season with a cup of boeretroos traditionally South African coffee. Dinner is available on request at an additional charge and an organic garden with fresh vegetables and herbs, as well as organic game meat form part of the interesting menu. Dietary needs are taken into consideration in planning the menu. After a delicious dinner, the boma is the perfect place to enjoy sun downers next to a blazing fire and enjoy the stars above.
An easy gas braai facility and small fridge on the patio are available for families who prefer to braai. For a more bush experience, you may prefer the braai area at the boma. In winter, the fireplace is the best place to enjoy long hours of relaxing. Secure car parking is available a few steps from the house. The patio has been set aside as a smoking area and we offer wireless Internet, laundry services, a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and Sauna.
Take an informative game drive in an open game vehicle, or go for bush walks and feel the dust and heat of the bushveld beneath the soles of your feet. You could even revel in the excitement of seeing the bushveld in a different light and take a night drive. A private airfield and helicopter landing pad is less than five minutes’ drive from the property. Flights and flips are available on request and at an additional charge. We are located a mere 40 to 45 minutes’ drive from the world famous Lost City and Casino at Sun City, and the Pilanesberg National Park. A visit to the Madikwe Game Reserve which is 200 km away and the Marakele National Park which is 170 km away from Boubou B&B is an unforgettable experience and something you have to do before leaving the North West Province.
