Description

Not often will you have the opportunity to stay in a National Monument. This beautiful Georgian home was built in the 1850’s to house soldiers guarding the port of Port Elizabeth.

Situated in picturesque surroundings, you can walk to the Old Fort, the Donkin Memorial and St. Georges botanical gardens. It is about five minutes' quick drive to the beach. For the sporting enthusiast, it is within walking distance to St. Georges cricket stadium, and about a 10 minute drive to the new Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. Public transport is normally available for major sports events.

Cora Terrace itself is three story's high with a laid back atmosphere. Lots of chill-out space for guests with a large lounge with TV area, leading onto a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool itself leads from the pub area, which has a pool table. Many a tale can be told from the fun times that we have had there.

We do accommodate groups of up to 70 persons on request. We have self-catering equipment suitable for group catering. Meals can also be provided and we pride ourselves on delicious buffet breakfasts, and super suppers that suit all tastes.

I spent 2 weeks in PE, doing a pretty stressful job and t e weather was cold and stormy for a lot of the time, but I felt so at home with Johan and Bryan at 1 Cora Terrace, that the time flew by and I will remember it very fondly, despite the circumstance
