Description
Stanley Island Lodge is the only privately-owned island in South Africa and it is situated in the spectacularly beautiful Keurbooms Lagoon.This 28-hectare nature reserve has its own indigenous forest, a 1000 metre grass runway, magnificent birdlife and secluded thatched chalets. Game roam freely among the chalets and there are long stretches of private beach. The island is a wonderful base for all water sports and it is ideally positioned for exploring the Plettenberg Bay area. Your privacy is our priority and escaping the mainland is a mere ferry trip away.
The island is the ideal wedding and honeymoon venue. It is also suitable for other functions where something different is sought after. Guests have the full use of our canoes; and motorboats are available for rent. Residents and guests can access the island by small aircraft or our own ferry.Request A Quote

Drimie Lodge : A luxury double story thatched chalet with river frontage. The three en-suite rooms all have separate entrances ensuring guests privacy

Helderbosch Lodge (4)
Helderbosch Lodge : This double storey thatched chalet has four large units with yellowwood kitchen units and open plan lounge. Twin or king-size beds. The two upstairs rooms are inter-leading sharing a kitchen with a lounge, indoor fireplace and veranda overlooking the river ideal for a family. An outside braai (barbecue) area is available for guests.

Lud's Lodge (4)
Lud’s lodge : This luxury lodge boasts four large units with showers, free standing baths and large kitchen units. The rooms are secluded, exclusive and private ideal for honeymoon couples.

Family Rooms (2)
The Family Rooms consist of two en-suite bedroomed unit with central open-plan kitchen, lounge with fireplace and dining room. There is an outdoor balcony/patio with braai facilities. On request an additional single bed or mattress will be provided for children sharing.

Standard Rooms (2)
Standard double or twin bedded, depending on request. Rooms are en-suite with outdoor patio. The Rooms are available on bed and breakfast or self-catering basis, only when linked to a superior or family unit booking. Tea and coffee making facilities provided.

Superior king or twin bedded rooms, depending on request. The Superior Rooms are en-suite with open plan kitchen, dining lounge with outdoor balcony/ patio with braai facilities. On request an additional single bed or mattress will be provided for children sharing.
