Description
This cosy guest house is situated on a working ostrich and alfalfa farm, with 6000 ostriches on extensive alfalfa fields, with spectacular views of the Olifants River Valley and the Swartberg Mountain range. This charming Victorian homestead dating back to 1910, together with its tranquil surroundings, fine antique furniture, gleaming woodwork and spaciousness, is reminiscent of yesteryear.Located along the world famous R62 route, from Cape Town to Mossel Bay where it enters the Garden Route on the N2. Four hours from Cape Town, 10 minutes’ drive from Oudtshoorn, and only two hours from Knysna. De Denne is very central to all the tourist attractions in the area.
Our accommodation consists of three warmly decorated luxury self-catering units and a bedroom in main house with private bathroom, well equipped.
Activities on this farm include bird watching, mountain biking, and walk in absolute safety and harmony. Daily environmental and farm tours to watch ostrich chicks hatching are also available and are very popular.
Luxury Self-catering Cottages are well equipped with modern amenities and a private entrance. Luxurious gardens a mountain view, air-conditioning, bar fridge TV, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave oven, hotplate and fireplace to become very romantic as well as your own braai facilities with braai equipment.
Semi-self-catering barbecue packs is at R75 to R95 per pack delivered to your cottage, enjoy spectacular view, table set, fire made. Local wine is also available on request, price list will be provided.
Ostrich or beef fillet with vegetables is R95 per person. One lamb kebab and one lamb chop with vegetables is R85 per person. Two marinated chicken thighs with vegetables are R85 per person and Vegetarian kebab with vegetables is R75 per person. All these served with two salads and freshly baked bread.Request A Quote

Luxury room in the main homestead that dates back to 1905. Gleeming woodwork, antique furniture throughout and rich colours with original artwork. Tea and coffee facilities, air-conditioning, a bar fridge and satellite television, as well as a full spacious bathroom with twin basins and plenty of light.

Separate main bedroom. Two single beds in the louge area. Victorian fire place, kitchenette is fully equipped, private bbq on the patio that has a magnificent view of the mountains and valley. Full bathroom that is equipped with modern amenities. Antique and modern furnishings compliment each other. The cottage can also be booked on a B&B basis.

A queen bedded room with en-suite bathroom, with a bath and a shower, fully-equipped kitchen, braai area, TV, and secure parking. This open planned unit has a small lounge area where you can put your feet up and relax, while also enjoying the view from your room.
