The Lighthouse Restaurant perched on the rocks on the edge of the Mossel Bay peninsula, just below the St Blaize lighthouse must surely have one of the most dramatic settings in the country. A diverse a-la-carte menu which specializes in Mossel Bay’s famous seafood and also offers Set Menus and buffets to groups. Open all day, The Lighthouse Restaurant serves sumptuous Breakfasts, Lunches and Dinners as well as Snacks. The start of the St. Blaize walking trail is at The Point Hotel and will lead you on the 30 metre contour 15 km to Dana Bay. Panoramic sea views with a constant view of waves breaking on the rocks will accompany you on your five hour walk.
The Khoi-San Cave is the home of ancient inhabitants. Artifacts have been discovered that date back 80000 years or more. The St Blaize Lighthouse situated in very close proximity to The Point Hotel was erected in 1864. To date it is one of only two lighthouses on the South African coastline manned 24 hours daily.
