Description
Pockets Place is a small scale cattle farm with ducks, geese, chickens, and a small citrus orchard comprising mainly of lemon trees.We pride ourselves on keeping the major portion of the farm as natural as possible. By preserving the indigenous flora, we attract a large variety of birdlife - 300 species in all. Several wild animals have been sighted on the farm including warthog, jackal, leopard, baboon, kudu, duiker, bush pig, and brown hyena.
Sundowners are a regular event for staff and visitors alike, affording everyone an opportunity to reflect on the day while enjoying spectacular sunsets and awesome views of the Magaliesburg Mountains towering over us.Request A Quote

Bush Cottage (1)
Open-plan thatched unit sleeping two people and comprising a double bed, en-suite bathroom with spacious shower and toilet, and a fully-equipped kitchen with dining area. The cool verandah leads onto the unit’s own barbecue area and offers stunning views of the Magaliesburg cliffs.

Sunrise (1)
This unit is a double storey, thatched cottage that backs onto sunset and can accommodate two to four people. It has one large bedroom upstairs with a double bed. Bedding is provided. A small balcony leads off the bedroom from which to enjoy a quiet sunrise and watch nature while the world around you wakes up. A baby camping cot is available on request. Downstairs comprises of an open plan, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, lounge with a comfortable, double bed sleeping couch and bathroom with shower and toilet. A thatched veranda provides shade and each unit has its own braai barbecue facilities.

This family unit is a double storey, thatched cottage that backs onto sunrise and accommodates four to six people. It has two bedrooms upstairs, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Bedding is provided. There is a small balcony from which to view the spectacular sunsets, after which the unit was named and the surrounding area. A baby camping cot is available on request. Downstairs comprises of an open-plan, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, lounge with a comfortable, double bed sleeping couch and bathroom with shower and toilet. A thatched veranda provides shade and each unit has its own braai barbecue facilities.
