A mere kilometer from the cabins is the well known Kosi Lake System, comprising of four lakes, and 8 kilo's away is the beautiful unspoilt Kosi Mouth, and with thanks to the Parks Board and their rules and permit regulations it has been possible to keep the beaches and lakes pristine and unspoilt.Amongst the beauty is also surreal occurrences like the Leatherback and Loggerhead Turtles that come lay their eggs annually at beautiful Bhanga Neck between November and February, and on hatching the shores seem to vibrate with energy. Other beautiful beaches and shores in the area include Black Rock and Dog Point where fishing is enjoyed by keen fishermen and un-experienced fishermen alike. Places of interest nearby include the Tembe Elephant Park and the Ndumo Game Reserve
