African Breeze Beach House is a fully-equipped, stylish and comfortable holiday home situated 5 minutes from the beach. This charming wooden house has three-bedrooms, sleeping up to six people. Situated in a peaceful, natural environment, African Breeze is an ideal retreat to relax and unwind. It is also perfectly situated to serve as a base from which to explore the many tourist attractions of the Eastern Cape and Garden Route.Having only recently opened, all equipment and fittings are new, fresh and clean. Comfortable quality mattresses with percale linen ensure a good night’s rest. Flat screen satellite TV, leather sofa and spacious living area, together with games, books and DVDs cater for your need to relax.
The house has a Bohemian-chic interior design and sweeping ocean views. Smell, hear and see the ocean from the comfort of your bedroom. The kitchen is spacious, well lit and equipped with modern appliances. There is a laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer. Two of the bedrooms have queen-size beds with full en-suite bathrooms. The third room has two single beds with semi en-suite bathroom bath only. The house is secure with security gates and armed response alarm system and is close to a number of amenities including four restaurants, a sports pub, and cash dispensing machine, supermarket 4 km, pharmacy, liquor store, and police station. It is also close 15 km to Colleen Glen where one can buy up-market country crafts, organic produce, fine wines and a variety of delicatessen items. There is much to see and do in the area including game farms, nurseries, tea gardens, touch farms and golf.
Beach view has, arguably, the most beautiful coastline in the greater Port Elizabeth area. The Island Nature Reserve part of the Baviaanskloof Mega-Reserve is also a short drive away. Other activities include sand-boarding, quad-biking, whale watching and paragliding. Visits to the local African informal settlement can be arranged. The city of Port Elizabeth, with its airport, modern shopping malls, banks, Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment Complex and cinemas is a scenic 25 km drive away.
Your hosts Rochelle Theunissen and Herman Timmermans, are well travelled having lived in countries such as the Netherlands, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. They are both involved in the field of international development and welcome guests from all cultures and countries. Having grown up in apartheid South Africa, they will be happy to chat to you about its history, geography, politics and people. Herman is an environmental scientist by profession and can advise you on interesting off-the beaten track places to visit. Boutique Self-Catering Beach House (1)
An elevated, wooden beach house with sea views and a Bohemian chic interior design. There are three en suite bedrooms (two in the main house upstairs, one at garden level) that are suitable for adults and children above 6 years of age and each room has comfortable new beds. Fresh quality linen is provided, except for beach towels. There is a well-equipped kitchen and laundry with modern features as well as an open-plan, spacious lounge and dining area that is wrapped with a porch and balcony. There is covered parking for two vehicles. We are located in a safe and relaxing coastal setting close to a number of amenities. Come and unwind in comfort and style at African Breeze.
