This elegant lodge is situated in Morningside Manor, one of Sandton's secure and tranquil suburbs, overlooking the willowed banks of the Sand River with an abundance of bird life.Thatchford Lodge is not your average B&B, but rather a haven where you can relax and feel at home when away on business, holiday or even on a short stay-over visit in Johannesburg. The furnishings, design and thatched room create a country house feeling, and with the calming sound of the river flowing by, you will forget that you are actually in the heart of the city.
Most of our eight spacious, en suite bedrooms overlook the river and the large sparkling pool, patio and shady garden, all at the disposal of our guests wishing to relax in secluded privacy. All rooms have broadband wireless Internet access, TV's and shared DStv, heaters and fans, hair dryers, tea/coffee facilities and much more. We also have air-conditioning and mini bars in selected rooms.

Hadida Executive Room (1)
Hadida is our newest addition, named after the birds in our Garden. It has an extra length king-size bed that can be converted in a twin bed as well. It has a bath/shower. It is overlooking our sparkling pool and beautiful garden.

Serenity Executive Room (1)
A luxurious somewhat Victorian style room to share those special moments. It has an extra-long queen-size bed, under-carpet heating and a deep oval bath to relax in after a long journey or a stressful day.

Willows Executive Room (1)
Willows is our premier suite under a thatch roof with a king-size bed and sleeper couch with a beautiful appointed bathroom with double basins, glass shower and a large circular bath. It has its own private balcony overlooking the Sands River. The most perfect room for honeymooners or break-away weekend.
