Description
Still Waters self-catering accommodation is a beautiful and peaceful place situated on the banks of the Velorenvlei Bird Reserve, approximately 5 km from Elands Bay with its famous left break waves and pristine beaches. There is over a hectare of extensive gardens and grounds with spectacular views over Velorenvlei and surrounding countryside. The accommodation consists of two historical buildings situated approximately 50 meter apart.The Pool House was the original stable block, with the original ring wall still being a feature, and is now a very spacious three bedroom house with a large lounge and dining room, a spacious kitchen, bathroom, shower room and two toilets. The Pool House can also be used to provide three separate lock-up double bedrooms and a dormitory with single beds and shared accommodation for surfers and travellers. There is an indoor braai room4th children’s bedroom with a sofa bed sleeps two so enabling the pool house to sleep up to 12 people in total.
The Farmhouse was built over 150 years ago, steeped in character, with oregon pine beamed ceilings, stable doors and old fireplaces. The property has been subdivided into five spacious units, each having their own character and features.
The large swimming pool is for all of our guests to enjoy and we also have a volleyball/babminton area, and large gardens to explore. Still Waters also has a bar, a lovely restaurant, rentals of canoes, quad bikes and horse riding. It is the perfect location for small or large group bookings, conferences, weddings and company team building weekends. Whether you just want to come for a relaxing and peaceful getaway, or for an action-packed holiday, Still Waters has it all. The swimming pool is only available for use from November to end April.
All our facilities including a huge, farm style swimming pool available in summer months, braai areas, extensive gardens and next doors' facilities a few minutes stroll away, are all available to our guests. Self-catering Farmhouse Annexe (1)
This is a delightful annexe to the farmhouse, offering a large bedroom with pine ceilings, plenty of room for a single bed and a lovely open fireplace, that is perfect for colder winter nights or indoor braais. The annexe also has a separate kitchen, en-suite bathroom with double shower and a private veranda with a table, chairs and braai facilities.

Self-catering Unit (1)
This unit is part of the old farmhouse, with oregon pine ceilings, a stable door, kitchenette, table, chairs and an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath. There are views of the surrounding hills from the veranda and outdoor braai facilities available.

Large Self-catering Unit (1)
Unit four is a large, lovely unit which is a part of the original old farmhouse, with oregon pine ceilings, stable doors, a kitchenette with seating area and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower. There are lovely views of the lagoon and surrounding countryside. Outdoor braai facilities are also available.

Self-catering Two Room Unit (1)
Farmhouse two bedroom self-catering unit, the two bed-room self-catering unit is lovely, with a pretty double bedroom approximately 16 square metres and has an en-suite bathroom with shower. Next door no interleading door, you have a very spacious over 40 square metres open plan room kitchen/lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, fridge, two plate stove, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and a dining table and chairs. The lounge area has an open fireplace for those colder nights or indoor braais and two single beds but no second bathroom so all four guests will have to share the en-suite bathroom. This light and pretty room has double doors which lead out onto a lovely large private stoep with dining area under vine, braai facilities and amazing views across the gardens, fields and Velorenvlei lagoon. The entire farmhouse can be booked for groups of up to 17 people or, for larger groups of up to 30 people, all our accommodation can be used which is perfect for any occasion, offering privacy and many facilities.

The Pool House (1)
The Pool House property is very spacious, offering three-double bedrooms, a large lounge and dining room with two day beds and plenty of room for two further single beds. There is also a large, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, shower room, two toilets and a lovely indoor braai room or 4th bedroom with a double sofa bed. The veranda has a six seater table under the vines and outdoor braai facilities. The communal swimming pool is directly in front of you, surrounded by lovely gardens and views of the lagoon. The swimming pool is only available for use between September and June. There is an indoor braai room\4th children’s bedroom with a sofa bed sleeps two so enabling the pool house to sleep up to 12 people in total.

Both of these units lead out onto a lovely covered stoep at the rear of the farmhouse with lounge and dining areas and stunning views across the fields.

Large Farmhouse Self-catering Unit (1)
This very pretty self-catering unit is located at the side of the farmhouse and comprises a large room of over 35 square metres with lovely yellowood ceilings, twin beds and a further single bed. The fully equipped kitchenette area at one end of the room has a dining table and chairs, and there is an en suite bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dining area. The lounge area has an open fireplace for those colder nights or indoor braais and two single beds but no second bathroom so all guests maximum four will have to share the en-suite bathroom. This light and pretty room has double doors which lead out onto a lovely large private stoep with dining area under vine, braai facilities and amazing views across the gardens, fields and Velorenvlei lagoon.
