Description
Rocky Pool Guest Lodge is situated on the Durban South Coast, with picturesque sea views and only 1 km from the nearest beach and shops. There are also two protected main beaches close by and the local shopping centres are within 1 to 3 km away. The new Arbor Crossing shopping centre is open, as well as the new Galleria centre, offering a variety of shops, movie entertainment, an ice-skating rink, ten-pin bowling, entertainment, and restaurants. Galleria is only 8 to 9 km away and the biggest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere.The lodge boasts scenic views of the surrounding area and panoramic sea views of the Indian Ocean from the lounge, sun deck and main bedroom. The main room overlooks the crystal blue rock pool, surrounded by a tropical garden with lush vegetation. Spectacular bird life abounds, including peacocks, Yellow-billed kite hawks, guinea fowl and various other small birds, including the proverbial hadeda, so remember to bring your binoculars.
Guests also have use of the pool, trampoline and swings for the kids, as well as the entertainment area with music and a dart board. The pool is heated, not to make the pool hot but to take the chill off, especially in winter, enabling guests to swim just about all year round. Room Types
Self-catering Lodge (1)
Two-bedroom self-catering home sleeping up to seven guests. The main bedroom has a double bed, a TV and a ceiling fan, while the second bedroom has two single beds and a ceiling fan. The lounge can accommodate two to three persons in one double sleeper couch and one single sleeper couch. The lounge, with two ceiling fans, lead out onto the bar area, which in turn leads out onto the spacious sun deck with barbecue facilities. The lovely open-plan kitchen features a breakfast bar counter and is fully-equipped for self-catering.
