Hawks Rest is an upmarket Bed and Breakfast and self-catering facility set in the leafy suburb of Gillitts in the western suburbs of Durban. We offer the discerning business or leisure guest a warm, private and friendly retreat, which is incredibly easy to find being conveniently located just off the M13 highway and the N3 freeway. Hawks Rest is also in close proximity to all the private schools in the area, as well as the Kloof Country Club and Golf Course, shopping malls, restaurants, medical centres, and a golf driving range.Hawks Rest offers seven comfortable rooms, each equipped with DStv, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryers, heaters, extra blankets, and heated blankets. The rooms are serviced daily and guests are offered an individual choice of a full cooked breakfast.
Features include a swimming pool, two thatched entertainment areas and secure off-street parking with individual access control to the property. Room Types
Drakensberg Room (1)
The Drakensberg Room is our biggest room and is an ideal family room. The room contains twin beds and a large en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. There is also a smaller room fitted with bunk beds, just off the bathroom, that is great for children and teenagers.

Inyanga Room (1)
The Inyanga Room contains either a double bed, twin beds, or a single bed, depending on your requirements and the private bathroom contains a shower and a bath.

Kilimanjaro Room (1)
Kilimanjaro is our second largest room and is normally fitted with a double bed. However, owing to its size a second double bed as well as three additional single beds can be added for families or larger groups. It contains a large en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower and massive amounts of cupboard and hanging space, while the mini verandah adds to guests' experience of spaciousness.

Mulanje Room (1)
The Mulanje Room is a cosy room with an en-suite shower tucked away in one corner. It also has plenty of cupboard and hanging space.

Outeniqua Room (1)
The Outeniqua Room contains a choice of a single bed, a double bed or twin beds. It also has a separate external entrance and private pool access.

Soutspanberg Room (1)
Soutpansberg Room is one of two rooms located in the private cottage, along with Vumba Room. Both rooms have access to a kitchenette, TV lounge and dining room, a private verandah, and a garden. The cottage is ideal for families or larger groups wishing to be accommodated near each other.
