Description
Crooked Tree Cottage is a lovely three-star bed and breakfast and self-catering establishment set in the heart of Umhlanga Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, one of the premier holiday accommodation hotspots in South Africa. It is literally a stone’s throw away from Umhlanga Village with its Blue Flag status beaches. Gateway Theatre of Shopping is two minutes’ drive away and Durban Central Business District and I.C.C are about 15 minutes’ drive. Umhlanga New Town Centre and the La Lucia Ridge office park are on our doorstep. It is close to both the M4 and the N2 highways making access to Durban and the rest of KwaZulu-Natal extremely efficient. This makes it an ideal accommodation venue for both holidaymakers and business people alike.The accommodation consists of three cottages and three studio suites, both of which are let as B&B accommodation most of the year. They are all, however, ideally suited for those of you who prefer to holiday on a self-catering basis. The cottage can accommodate six to seven guests and the studio units can accommodate two adults per suite. Room 4 can accommodate a family with two small children. The Cottage is tastefully decorated and has a fully-equipped kitchen and a spacious dining and lounge area opening onto a sea-facing balcony. There is a deck area with seating at the entrance to the cottage with barbecue facilities available on request.
Room 4, 5 and 6 the elegantly decorated studio suites are separate from the cottage and have their own entrances. Each has a well-equipped kitchen and en suite shower, room 4 has a shower over bath. Each suite has a king-size bed that can be split to two singles. Each unit opens onto a balcony with views over the swimming pool and lovely sea-views. For those of you who book on a bed and breakfast basis, Full English or Continental breakfasts are on offer. The food has been sourced from the best suppliers to ensure only the best quality of breakfasts. Fruit salads or platters are served with all breakfasts. Guest Suites (3)
All three rooms have access to balconies. Two of the rooms have wonderful sea views and the last room has its own private entrance. There is DStv hotel bouquet as well as DVD players in all rooms. All the rooms are en-suite and air-conditioned. Rates quoted are based on B&B rates.

Deluxe Self-catering Studio Unit (3)
The units consist of a spacious room with a king-sized or twin beds. There is a dining area and comfy chairs in the rooms. The kitchens are fully kitted but do not have an oven. The bathrooms are en-suite with two with showers and one with shower over bath. The unit has a TV with DStv commercial channels and DVD player. There is access onto a balcony with views out over the swimming pool and lovely sea views. Room 4 can accommodate two to three adults or two adults and two small children. The rate displayed is based on two adults sharing the Self-Catering Studio.

Cottage 3 Bed Room (1)
The Cottage consists of three room’s which are en-suite, all have with their own TV (commercial DStv) and DVD players, there is full DStv in the lounge. The cottage has its own entrance and a deck area and small garden area where you can braai. There are sea views from most rooms as well as the lounge. There is a swimming pool for your use and the beach is about 10 minute walk. The cottage is serviced daily except for public holidays. There is a double sleeper couch in the lounge and I have a camp cot available. The rate displayed is for self-catering for one to six guests.
