Description
Rocky Pool Guest Lodge is situated on the Durban South Coast, with picturesque sea views and only 1 km from the nearest beach and shops. There are also two protected main beaches close by and the local shopping centres are within 1 to 3 km. The new Arbor Crossing shopping centre is open, as well as the new Galleria centre with lots of shops, movie entertainment, ice-skating rink, tenpin bowling, entertainment and restaurants. This is only 8 to 9 km away and the biggest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere.The lodge has scenic views of the surrounding areas and panoramic sea views of the Indian Ocean from the lounge, sundeck and main bedroom. The main room overlooks the crystal blue rock pool, surrounded by a tropical garden with lush vegetation. There is spectacular birdlife such as peacocks, Yellow Billed Kite Hawks, guinea fowl and various other small birds, including the Proverbial Hadeda. Remember to bring your binoculars.
Guests have use of the pool, trampoline and swings for the kids, as well as the entertainment area with music and a dart board. The pool is heated, not to make the pool hot but to take the chill off, especially in winter. You can swim just about all year round. Please note that this complete lodge is only for you and your guests private use only and it is not shared with other unknown guests. The main bedroom has a double bed with a TV and ceiling fan. The second bedroom has two single beds with ceiling fan. The bathroom has a bath with a shower facility, basin and toilet. The lounge can accommodate two to three persons, with a double sleeper couch and one single sleeper couch with two ceiling fans. All this leads out into the bar area, which leads out onto the spacious sundeck where you can relax and braai with the facilities provided. The lodge has a lovely open-plan kitchen with a breakfast bar counter and is fully-equipped. There is a TV in the lounge and main bedroom, with a full DStv bouquet, DVD and Hi-Fi facilities. Regrettably no pets are allowed.
