Description
Mt Rouge Guest House is situated at the foothills of the Red Mountains, on the edge of a walking trail, and guests have an unspoilt view from their rooms of the surrounding mountains. Interesting rock formations, age-old trees and a variety of wild birds will entertain bird-watchers or simply welcome you at sunrise with cheerful singing.The guest house is located on a 3,000 square metre stand with a secure steel fence all around for the safety of our guests and their property. Guests have use of the garden where they can relax, let the children play or have a barbecue in one of two well-equipped bomas. Every unit features a private entrance and parking is right in front of each unit. Hakuna Mutata (1)
Hakuna Mutata is a unique thatched rondavel with a sandstone exterior. It is fully self-catering, with two double en-suite bedrooms and a double sleeper couch, ideal for children, is available in the living room. The living area is spacious with comfortable couches and a dining table, while the kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, small stove and the essential crockery and utensils. The built-in fireplace ensures warm and romantic winter nights. Hakuna Mutata is ideal for the whole family, families travelling and lodging together or as a special treat to honeymooners.

The Attic (1)
The Attic is a double-storey self-catering unit sleeping up to four guests. The bedroom and living room is upstairs, with a double bed and two single beds, and comfortable chairs at the fireside. The bedroom walks out onto an open balcony. The fully equipped kitchen and bathroom is located downstairs, and the built-in fireplace ensures warm winter nights. The Attic is ideal for the travelling businessman, a small family or the budget-conscious traveller.

The Lavender Room (1)
The Lavender Room is a double en-suite room with underfloor heating. An optional breakfast is also offered for guests in this unit.
