Situated on the False Bay mountain slopes, in the heart of Simon’s Town, Whale Pod Retreat comfortably sleeps a total of six guests. It offers affordable luxury in the open-plan, self-catering accommodation with sheltered indoor barbecue facilities and bird’s eye views on maritime and natural worlds below.

The accommodation has three spacious suites, all with en-suite bathrooms and DStv. The open-plan kitchen and sheltered indoor barbecue provide a unique gourmet experience with panoramic views, whilst sipping local wine in the adjoining lounge or on the balcony overlooking False Bay.

Whale Pod Retreat is within walking distance from unspoilt, seventeenth-century, historical enclaves. Discover its mysteries, museums, architecture, railway and restaurants. We are close to Cape Town and Cape Point Nature Reserve. The house overlooks Simon's Town Harbour and is located close to Boulders Beach.

Try your skills on a kayak trip around the buoys or venture a little further on Simon's Town's very own railway train which hugs the waves all the way to one of our many peninsula restaurants. Simon's Town is filled with history and legend, with numerous antique shops, African art shops, art galleries and museums. Simon' Town is also known for the culinary delights offered by many of its restaurants.
