Description
Marlinspike Guest Lodge is perched on the side of the Karbonkelberg Mountain, enjoying magnificent sea and mountain views.Our three-bedroom apartment is secure and has its own entrance via an external staircase. It has two bathrooms of which one has a bathtub. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom and access to the balcony. The second and third bedrooms have twin three-quarter beds which can be pushed together. These bedrooms share a shower and toilet. There is an open-plan dining area, lounge and kitchen; the kitchen is fully equipped and is fitted with a gas hob, a microwave and a fridge.
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast on the balcony, take a trip to the soft, white sands of Hout Bay beach, visit one of the Hout Bay markets or take a trip on one of the boats that leave regularly for Duiker Island to view the seals, whales and dolphins. There are many local hiking trails. Visit the famous World of Birds or the battery of cannons that protected Hout Bay when sailing ships still braved the waters of the Cape of Storms.
Just over Constantia Nek is Constantia Valley with its many famous wine estates. Stop for lunch at the Groot Constantia restaurant or take a walk in Tokai forest. On your return you can stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and enjoy an afternoon break in the shadow of Table Mountain. We are an ideal base from which to explore the Southern Peninsula, Cape Point and the city of Cape Town.
As the day ends, enjoy a glass of fine South African wine as you view the flaming red sunset from the expansive balcony or your comfortable lounge.Request A Quote

The apartment offers three bedrooms and self-catering facilities. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed, a full en-suite bathroom and views of the harbour, Chapmans Peak, Hout Bay village, and Sentinel Peak. The remaining two bedrooms each have twin three-quarter beds and share a shower and toilet. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge for a seventh guest. The kitchen is open plan with the dining area and lounge and this living area boasts views of the town and ocean. This apartment can be rented out per room, according to the amount of guests staying.
