It is an earthy home set in beautiful natural settings in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom.Cocagne has a relaxing atmosphere and is very private. You feel far away from it all, yet have all the conveniences of town right on your doorstep. Stay in one of the self-contained rooms with private entrance, or rent the entire residence and enjoy your home away from home.
A holiday at Cocagne is a wonderful way to spend time with your family. Your children will love the solar-heated swimming pool and the mountain to explore. Cocagne is the home of author and travel writer Petra Vandecasteele and nature photographer Paul Godard. It is centrally located within a radius of one minute to one hour of the main tourist attractions and only 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. Shopping and restaurants are just down the road, as is the beautiful beach.

Room with king-size bed or twin beds, en-suite bathroom with shower, compact living area, fully-equipped kitchen with stove, microwave oven, fridge, and coffee and tea facilities. Features include a ceiling fan for summer, heater for winter, and Internet point. A small bed or cot can also be arranged if required.

Sunset (1)
Room with a double bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, living area, and a fully-equipped kitchen with stove, microwave oven, fridge, and coffee and tea facilities. Features include a ceiling fan for summer, heater for winter, and Internet point. This room offers little spare space, but we will gladly squeeze in a small bed or cot for junior.

The Residence (1)
500 m2 house on 1400 m2 property comprising three double bedrooms, one single room, and one room with bunk beds. Features include a large open-plan dining room with bar and lounge with huge fireplace, hall, patio with sea view, solar heated rim-flow swimming pool and Jacuzzi, back terrace with mountain view, and large indigenous Fynbos garden. The kitchen is fully-equipped for self-catering with stove, microwave oven, hot air oven, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The home is fully serviced with butler and housekeeper, and a minimum rental period of two weeks is required.
