Description
Here is a guest house with a difference. From the street it looks like three Victorian terrace houses, but when you step inside it is as though the place stretches out in front of you. The ceilings are high, the rooms generous and the décor, featured in many local and international travel magazines, is coloured with an African flourish.An African Villa is located in a quiet residential street within walking distance of the city centre and many local restaurants. The house and the staff have received many accolades for service and facilities, one of them being from the last three years' Tripadvisor “Traveller’s Choice Award”. An African Villa is recommended by Frommer’s Guide, Lonely Planet and Greenwood Guide.
There are three large common areas; a library with complimentary Internet access, a lounge with a complimentary taxi phone as well as port and sherry on offer at night, and a dining room where you will be greeted by a heart warming full breakfast and a flickering fire in winter. In summer breakfast is served outdoors in the peaceful courtyard beside the pool. There is an honesty bar in the kitchen and complimentary cake is on offer.
We offer 13 en-suite rooms of which five are Platinum Class, each with a full bathroom and balcony, two are Gold Class, each with a full bathroom, four are Silver Class, each with a shower room, and then there are the two Bronze Class rooms, each with a shower room facing a quiet street.
The owners manage the house personally and are always on call to help you make your Cape Town vacation memorable, but all of the staff enjoy the work and are generous with their time and talents. They can be found happily baking fresh goodies for breakfast and tea, making tea or coffee for you on arrival, carrying your luggage, directing you to the city, or booking restaurants, car rentals and tours for you. They will even drop off your laundry.

Gold Class Rooms (2)
Both rooms have partial Table Mountain views. One room is upstairs offering a large full bathroom with a bath and separate shower, a basin and toilet. The other room is downstairs with courtyard access and a private outdoor seating area. This room encompasses an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, a basin and a toilet. A king-size bed or two single beds are possible, so please specify which bed configuration you would prefer.

Honeymoon Platinum Class Rooms (3)
We refer to these rooms as our honeymoon suites with four-poster beds. The rooms are very large upstairs rooms, with furnished balconies overlooking a quiet suburban street. The en-suite bathrooms include a separate shower, a bath, basin and toilet each. A king-size bed or two single beds are possible, so please specify which bed configuration is required. These rooms can sleep three guests comfortably at an additional rate of R250 per night for the extra bed.

Platinum Class Rooms (2)
These are spacious upstairs rooms with small step-out balconies and excellent Table Mountain views. The en-suite bathrooms incorporate separate showers, baths, basins and toilets. A king-size bed or two single beds are possible, so please specify which bed configuration is required.
