Royal Olifants Safari Lodge is situated in the Balule Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa. Located high up on the edge of the Olifants River, guests will be enchanted with the most beautiful panoramic views. The perennial Olifants River is home to hippos and crocodiles allowing guests to watch their daily activities. In addition, the river also attracts many other game species and is rich in bird life.

Set in the heart of the African bush, guests can experience true, wild Africa in luxury and comfort. The valley of the Olifants in the Lowveld is one of the last unspoilt corners of wild Africa, and guests can experience the Big 5 around the lodge by simply watching the game from their window while taking a relaxing bath or shower, or from the privacy of their own verandah.

Royal Olifants Safari Lodge offers three free-standing luxury cottages which can each accommodate two guests. The units are very spacious and comfortably furnished with the best quality sleeper wood, reminiscent of Colonial Africa. The rooms are tastefully decorated with a touch of ethnic and wildlife features and the quality modern bathrooms are equipped with a shower and bath. Each cottage is fully furnished and equipped with air-conditioning, a fan, fridge, and tea and coffee-making facilities. All cottages also boast breathtaking views of the river and bush from the verandahs and picture windows, allowing the splendour to be enjoyed from the privacy of the cottages.

The lodge also offers two single rooms which are situated below the main lodge, with their own river views. Each room features a private entrance and is equipped with air-conditioning, a fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities and a modern bathroom with a spacious shower. These single rooms are perfect for families travelling with teenagers or for the single guest.

At Royal Olifants, we source out game drives in open 4x4 vehicles within our reserve. We also offer morning and evening nature trails or walks with our registered and armed nature guide, for an unforgettable bush experience.Request A Quote
