Enjoy our unique intimate lodge amidst an unfenced natural garden on the banks of the Olifants river. Unique in it’s way because you can walk freely in an area of 80 by 50 near the river.Kurhula has an exceptional view and offers a true safari experience including a wide variety of fauna and flora. It is the ideal place for spotting wild life. Situated within Balule Game Reserve (part of the Greater Kruger National Park) and host of the Big Five, we offer you excellent personal service. The Lodge’s perfect location makes it possible to see all highlights of the area. After a day of outdoor excitement, you can relax at Kurhula Wildlife Lodge.
Kurhula Lodge has four double rooms. Each room is accessible via its own entrance and from the porch you have an exquisite view of the Olifants river. All accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (DBB), serving a sumptuous breakfast on the veranda of the main lodge. At night we serve an African three course meal with an European touch. Should you have any special dietary requirements please notify us beforehand and we will make sure that all requests are met.
We can organize game drives and bush walks in the reserve under the guidance of an experienced ranger. Advance booking required. You can enjoy our bush garden, swimming pool with comfortable chairs, or relax on the veranda of your room.

Kurhula Lodge has four double rooms situated in 2 thatched bungalows. Each room is accessible via its own entrance and from the porch ( with comfortable chairs) you have an exquisite view of the Olifants River. The room has 2 extra length single beds, air-conditioning, a mosquito net, a desk with chair and wardrobe. The bathroom en-suite is equipped with a shower, toilet and double basins. Slate tiles are used on the floor and in the bathroom to give that real authentic African feeling.
